Cotton Mix Drill Fabric

A polycotton drill fabric available in a wide range of colours. Drill fabric is a durable fabric, tightly woven in a twill (diagonal) pattern. The combination of the weave and polycotton fabric gives it strength, comfort and resistance to wear, makking it ideal for a range of uses:

Workwear and Uniforms - The twill weave gives it high durability and abrasion resistance, while the polyester mix adds strength and resists wrinkles

Home and Commercial Furnishings - Polycotton drill holds its shape, and resists piling making it suitable for cushions covers, seat covers, linings and tote bags. 

As well as being cheaper, a mixed polyester and cotton drill has several advantages over a 100% cotton drill.

1. Durability - Polycotton is more durable and abrasion resistant than 100% cotton, as the polyester fibres don't break down as quickly.
2.  Shrinkage and wrinkling - Cotton is more prone to shrinking after washing, which can also cause wrinkling. The polyester mix helps this fabric avoid shrinking and wrinkling. 
3. Drying - Polyester has a much lower absorption rate than cotton; so polycotton will dry much faster than pure cotton.
